Advice Case Study # 2
Teenager meets guitar!
Chicks really dig dudes with guitars, right dude? Sweet! My name is Wazza, and I bought a guitar, and it worked. When I go to the beach I always take my Yamaha F310 acoustic guitar, along with my boardies, board, and Hungry Jacks vouchers... who knows if I will have to buy a babe some eats, dude....
I first went to Kosmic and they said that most cool dudes start on acoustic or steel string guitars, but I really wanted the way cool Fender Strat, man. I dig red, and the Fender was red... sweet! The sales guy told me that an acoustic may be better to learn on because it would strengthen my fingers, and also be easy to lug around, no need to plug it in, just play.I can almost play Metallica's 'One', 'Nothing else matters' and some dumb Creed songs the chicks dig, dude.
The store had a cool red Honker on special for $199, but the sales dude said I should get the Yamaha F310, I couldn't tell the difference, and liked the colour of the Honker.
Mum said she liked the Yammy, and she was buying, so tough s***, man, get the Yamaha....
Now that I can play a bit I can tell that the Yamaha had a better neck, with less buzzing, and sounded nice. The Yamaha FG700S solid top was cool too, but I couldn't afford the $355 special deal. My Dad said he was going to buy the 700 and learn to play some John Denver songs. Gross man!!!!!
I really can't wait to get my Fender Squier Strat Pak, so I can play Enter Sandman and rock out louder, dude.
The Yamaha F310 has:
- A nice neck, that is cool to play lead on.
-
Good tuning stability.
-
Nice tone for it's price.
-
Made in Indonesia to Yamaha's high standards.
-
Has a great accessory pack!
Conclusion:There is so much great stuff out there! Start on the Yamaha, but, if you can afford it, try the brill Fender DG8 or Ibanez PF200. You are spoilt for choice even at the price!
